Our Story

A Houston Icon Since 1926

Originally built as the headquarters of the Houston Post-Dispatch, the building at 1100 Texas Avenue has been part of Houston’s story for a century. Its walls have witnessed a city transform around them, while the building itself has found new life as Magnolia Hotel Houston.

On September 24, we’re celebrating where we’ve been, where we are today and the next century still to come.
